Who the FCK is Ed !?!
 timothy says ( 19 Dec 2002 ):
|
Ask Ed Asner a question or in other words, looks like some-one is playing with NBC's .net alerts. It also seems that asking this Ed a question is breaking news for NBC and it is even so important that it links to a page saying Ask Ed Asner a question (with a lot of commercials around it)... Another fine quality service brought to you by NBC and Microsoft |

MSN Messenger 3.0 for Mac and MSN for Mac OS X are due in 2003. My brother, number one Mac-addict, will be happy to hear this. [Source: CNet.com] |
WM Back
 timothy says ( 19 Dec 2002 ):
|
False alarm! The Windows Messenger site is back up. Looks like one of the people at Microsoft just screwed up the site. |
No more windows messenger !?!
 timothy says ( 18 Dec 2002 ):
|
Looks like you can not download Windows Messenger any more from the Microsoft site. The link is still available on the left of the screen. But if you click it, it will redirect you to the MSN Messenger 5 download page. Does this means microsoft is up to something ? Windows Messenger 5? Giving up Windows Messenger? Or just a mistake made by one of the people at Microsoft? It appears to be the last one, since you still can download it if you scroll down the page and find the "Click here to download Windows Messenger v4.7." link.
Update: The link to the Mac version is also killed.

MS Messing with messenger !?!
 timothy says ( 18 Dec 2002 ):
|
"Is Microsoft messing with Windows Messenger !?!" This was the first thing that came to my mind also when I read the article on MSNFanatic. Microsoft shows in one of their developer videos for VB.net how to create bots for Mass Messaging, Multi blocking, invisible logging... Looks like Microsoft is using the if you can't beat them, join them strategy. [Source : MSNFanatic] |
X-Mess Wishlist
 dwergs says ( 18 Dec 2002 ):
|
What does a typical Messer want for Christmess? It's all on the X-Mess Wishlist! Check it out... still one week left. |
And the patent goes to... ICQ
 dwergs says ( 17 Dec 2002 ):
|
The U.S. patent office has approved the ICQ inventors' patent on their technology for instant messaging via the Internet. America Online, which bought ICQ with its owner Mirabilis in 1998 for $400 million, can now file patent infringement suits against Yahoo! and Microsoft which develop and market similar software for the transmission of instant messages, or, alternatively, can demand the companies pay royalties. Will they? [Source: Ha'aretz and CNet.com] |

 dwergs says ( 17 Dec 2002 ):

The trial version of the earlier mentioned DirectTalk 1.0 (a program that enhances connectivity in MSN Messenger when voice or video chatting) is now included in the MSN Messenger downloads. |

I-Mode Messenger
 dwergs says ( 15 Dec 2002 ):
|
With Microsoft's SmartPhone devices and i-Mode about to overshadow WAP in Europe (KPN Mobile), wireless messaging is bound to become faster, easier and hence more popular.
Mister-I, already known for its web-based MSN Messenger, is now providing access to your MSN account from just about anywhere as long as you use an i-Mode enabled phone and operator... and their i-Mode Messenger service. See how it works and log in on their i-Mode emulator.
You can try Mister I's services (web and i-Mode) for free during 3 days. Afterwards, you can subscribe for merely $1 per month (PayPal or credit card). |
