Online nickname changer & latest MSN Messenger version stats
Online nickname changer & latest MSN Messenger version stats

dwergs says ( 08 Feb 2003 ):

Daniel Winter, aka GZ kindly offered us to integrate his kick ass live-scripts into Mess.be! Yaaay!

- phpNickChange [click here] allows you to change your nickname online (= through this website) and even add illegal words to it. For example, you can use this if you want to log in directly with a specific nickname instead of with your old one and then having to change it first.

Don't worry: the information you submit is not logged or stored locally, your password is encrypted then directly sent to a .NET Messenger Service notification server.

- phpMsgrStats [click here] is a regularly updated stats page that always shows the latest builds of any MSN Messenger version, as well as the .NET Service status.

Thanks Daniel!

One time a year we're allowed to go mellow and that's on Valentine's Day (February 14th, for the total no-mantics). That's why we created a little temporary page about LUUUUUUV (shortcut through the purple icon under our title banner). Our selection of internal and external links (more will probably be added) might inspire you or maybe turn you into a real MSN Messenger lova lova.

 emoticons and their eyes
emoticons and their eyes

m_chibi says ( 05 Feb 2003 ):

It was just brought to my attention, but did you ever notice that the devil (6) and the angry face (:@) emoticons are the only ones with a colour in their eyes. The colour is blue, which brings me to the quote from the person who brought it to my attention in the first place:

Emmalina says:
So yeah I think that's a bit of a conspiracy, you know.
Emmalina says:
(6) and :@ both having blue eyes is a BIT STRANGE

emoPump for custom emoticons and skinning the MSN Messenger toast
emoPump for custom emoticons and skinning the MSN Messenger toast

dwergs says ( 05 Feb 2003 ):

Wahid A Choudhury is looking for a job and to kill time he developed an MSN Messenger add-on called emoPump (works with 4.6, 4.7 AND 5.0). You can use it to send custom emoticons to other contacts who have emoPump installed, to skin the "has just signed in" toast and to translate or explain stuff that's being said in a conversation.

The direct download of emoPump disappeared a while ago from its official homepage, but now Mess.be is proud to host a customized version (with Mess.be toast!):

- Download emoPump for Windows 95, 98 or Millenium.

- Download emoPump for Windows 2000 or XP.

Timothy’s T9 test application source code
Timothy’s T9 test application source code

timothy says ( 04 Feb 2003 ):

To give a small impulse to the MSN 5 with XP programming section and the hooking of MSN with VB. I have released the source of Timothy’s T9 test application. It will show you how to:
- Hook the MSN screen
- Find out keystrokes
- Search corresponding words in a database
- Format words
- Make a auto-complete in a external HWND

Please note that this source holds complicated code, and is intended for experienced VB programmers. I don't provide help on basic windows API skills that are a must for this project.

Please read the terms file after downloading.

 Pop till you don't stop
Pop till you don't stop

dwergs says ( 04 Feb 2003 ):

Sorry for the pop-ups that appeared recently while browsing through subpages on Mess.be. They should be gone now. There's only one intentional & approved pop-up and that's the one on this page. It helps Mess.be continue to grow so please respect the fella :)

 Timothy's T9 test application
Timothy's T9 test application

timothy says ( 03 Feb 2003 ):

Timothy’s T9 test application is a small stand-alone application that was discarded from the upcoming Coolbox project. The program is based on the T9 function you can find in mobile phones. It allows you to auto complete your favourite and most common used words. You can adjust the words database through Microsoft Access (provided in most Office packages).

Please keep in mind that this program is strong>for testing purposes only, so please don’t mail me if you can’t get it working. This version works on all msn versions from 2.x to 5.x on every windows version.

Get your own version at the download section.

Stop your .NET Passport logging addresses!
Stop your .NET Passport logging addresses!

Johnny_Mac says ( 03 Feb 2003 ):

Ever wished you could disable Windows XP from saving the list of e-mail addresses that you've used to sign into your .NET Passport? Well now you can, just add this file to your registry and reboot your computer. This also removes any auto sign-in which you may have enabled to log onto Messenger.

Remember: This only works with .NET Passports on a Windows XP Operating System. [Source: Jonathan Kay - Microsoft Newsgroups]

Log in Appearing Offline

dwergs says ( 02 Feb 2003 ):

Jnrzloader, surprisingly made by "Jnrz", allows you to log-in with any status including "Appear Offline" and even patches your MSN Messenger to run several clients at once. One important note though: this handy tool works ONLY on Windows XP running MSN Messenger 5.0.0543. Get it from the MSN Messenger add-ons section.

**UPDATE: Download Fixed!
