Lavasoft Ad-Aware v5.83
 dwergs says ( 28 Sep 2002 ):
|
I'd like to take a second to promote the free spyware removal utility called Ad-Aware (latest version 5.83). I know this has got nothing to do with MSN Messenger but, for your own sake, run it at least once to get rid of all advertising parasites on your PC. Get it from here! Ok, I'll shut up now.. ;) |
Heavy K + Polygamy
 dwergs says ( 27 Sep 2002 ):
|
I'm sad to report loyal polygamy patcher Heavy K has stopped the development of standalone MSN tools. He did, however, create a polygamy patch for the latest MSN Messenger (4.7.0104). Get it @ Heavy K's Hideout. Let's hope he won't be able to resist patching future version as well... |
Messenger Plus! 2.00
 dwergs says ( 27 Sep 2002 ):
|
It's been so long since Patchou updated all-time favorite Messenger Plus! add-on (more than 80.000 downloads from mess.be and over 400.000 users worldwide!). But he's back! And he announced Messenger Plus! 2.00 will probably include multi-langual support (although maybe not in the public release) and it'll be scriptable with VBScript! You can even have a look at the official Plus! suggestion list here, maybe some of these wishes will be granted by the MSN Genie Patchou as well ;). Keep your eyes on this site for more... Pay-per-IM
 dwergs says ( 26 Sep 2002 ):
|
Pay-Per-IM has arrived. Only a few weeks after Cerulean Studios released a $25 premium version of their Trillian instant messaging client, Microsoft is the next in line to charge for instant messaging, starting in October with MSN Messenger 5. An enhanced client will be available exclusively for paying subscribers of the MSN 8 online service. Don't worry: a standalone version of Messenger 5 will still be free to use, but here are some features you'll be missing: - Parental controls (censorship, ah, typically Microsoft ;)) - integrated MSN Today (the free MSN Messenger 5 will... pop it up).
Next to that, Microsoft is also adding little exclusive bonuses for Windows XP users only: - Access to video conferencing - Co-existence with MSN Messenger and Windows Messenger, allowing you to log in with seperate passports (Microsoft *finally* learned about polygamy).
Let me finish with this quote from Jupiter Research analyst, David Card:
"...I'm trying to puzzle out what the user experience would look like if you're logged on twice using two separate accounts."
Hello?!! Mess with MSN Messenger, David!

sms ng
 dwergs says ( 26 Sep 2002 ):
|
Remember Judy? It was a superb add-on until it stopped working because the era of free SMS had come to an end. But Epigoon is back after exploring the boundaries of the SMS alert feature a little more. SMS ng is an add-on not just for MSN Messenger (use the "Judy" plug-in) but for about any possible program. Currently it supports only the Belgian wireless operators Base and Proximus, but that's supposed to change soon. Visit its homepage (select English in the right menu if needed) or download the full package here. |
Real Status Viewer v3.1
 dwergs says ( 25 Sep 2002 ):
|
Real Status Viewer v3.1 by Sweet Devil Mark is probably the final version of this essential MSN utility. As you probably already know, it can find out who's blocking you on MSN. The automatic complete contact list scanner makes it a lot easier too. You can find it here. |
Windows Messenger XP 4.7.0104
 Nicholas says ( 25 Sep 2002 ):
|
Build 4.7.0104 of Windows Messenger for Windows XP is now available for download |
DLL Finder
 dwergs says ( 25 Sep 2002 ):
|
DLL Finder is a little utility made by Spy Boy you can use to scan any MSN add-on or bot on this site and find out which DLL files you need to run it. Useful, isn't it? Download here. |
Elite Spyz v4
 dwergs says ( 25 Sep 2002 ):
|
Spy Boy released (the final?) version 4 of his very popular Elite Spyz software. This one is harder, better, faster, stronger... and easier, but still only recommended for advanced "Messers". Down it here. |
Mail fixed
 dwergs says ( 23 Sep 2002 ):
|
I fixed the mailbox issue as soon as I got home again from my backpacking trip, which means you can start e-mailing me interesting stuff again. Please note that most of the mails sent to me in the last three weeks probably didn't make it. |
