Make your Meego
dwergs says ( 01 May 2004 ):
|
Ninemsn, the Australian MSN portal, offers a display picture generator (kinda similar to our MSN Avatar Creator by Sketchie), called Meegos. "Meegos are cool little dudes you can create to reflect how you look and feel". Unfortunately (and contrary to ours) they don't come free: one meego will cost you little over 4 Australian dollars (about 3 US dollars). You can pay by phone or mobile if you live in Australia, or credit card if you live anywhere in the world.
>> Create your Meego.
According to blade, Meegos also have their own tab on aussie MSN Messenger accounts from now on. |
Added: Wrestling Display Pictures

Make your mom a contact buddy
dwergs says ( 29 Apr 2004 ):
|
MSN Belgium believes they found the ideal gift for Mother's Day: giving your mom... MSN Messenger. "Make your mom your MSN Buddy" and enter their special Mother's Day competition to get a chance to win one of 99 cinema tickets for two, or even one year of free entrance to the movies.
>> Enter MSN's Mother's Day competition (Belgium only).
By the way, we strongly recommend giving her flowers or any other nice gift, because honestly, do you think your mom would be filled with joy when you download MSN Messenger for her? :p |

Added: Saint Seiya Display Pictures
dwergs says ( 27 Apr 2004 ):
|
Saint Seiya started out in 1986 as a manga by Masami Kurumada and published in Shonen Jump. In October of 1986 Seiya showed up on Japanese TV as an animated series produced by Toei Doga. Fans of the genre can now enjoy 56 Saint Seiya Display Pictures, most of them upped by regm (thanks dude!).

Meet TomBotXP
dwergs says ( 27 Apr 2004 ):
|
TomBotXP is a completely Dutch bot with games (trivia, jumble, lotto...), a poll, integrated google.nl and more. TomBotXP was the first bot I found to have an extra large display picture (even before wtbwplug was released).
>> Add bottombotxp.tk to your contact list (recommended to users from Belgium & The Netherlands only :p) |
Welcome back, MSN Messenger 6.2!
dwergs says ( 26 Apr 2004 ):
|
For your information, MSN Messenger 6.2 (build 0133) has been made available again on the official homepage. Since this is the same build as released last Thursday, there's still no sign of animated avatars dubbed Deluxe Display Pictures in the help files Timothy discovered early March. These are probably delayed until the service (which I guess will be subscription-based) is completely secure & operational. Here's a quick resume again of the changes compared to 6.1:
- Autoreplacement of emoticon shortcuts before sending; - Contact list icon for mobile buddies & group mobile contacts together; - New name (and icon) for the Launch Site: Fun & Games; - Four new subscription-based fun & games available to U.S. users only for $4 or $5 per month. - Integrated connection troubleshooter; - MSN Toolbar & MSN Search installation upon setup (uncheck to avoid);
>> Download here (direct download)
Also check out these essential MSN Messenger 6.2 downloads:
>> Download the Custom Games Patch.
>> Download Jnrzloader (polygamy and signing in invisibly)
>> Download the updated Messenger Plus!
[Reported by: Katrina, Chironu, Huuf and Darkness2k] [BTW: Thanks to all the people who reported the 6.2 release last week, unfortunately I was unable to post about it myself and credit you appropriately] |
Updated: Display Picture Exporter v1.0.30
dwergs says ( 26 Apr 2004 ):
|
Display Picture Exporter allows you to export your MSN Messenger display pictures, either individually or all to a certain folder. It was designed for MSN Messenger 6.1.0211, but DOES work with 6.2.0133 (no guarantee it will work on future releases of MSN Messenger)
v1.0.30 now works with non-NT systems correctly and fixes a small bug with having 2 instances of MSN Messenger running and only one signed in.
>> Download DP Exporter. |
Encrypted Messenger 3 with MSN Messenger 6 support
dwergs says ( 26 Apr 2004 ):

Encrypted Messenger 3 by Johnytech, used by members of the US military to encrypt instant messages sent to friends and loved ones back home, now works with MSN Messenger 6.

Messenger-2, the newest in IM interoperability
dwergs says ( 26 Apr 2004 ):
|
Messenger-2 is a skinnable instant messenger compatible with AIM, ICQ, IRC, MSN and Yahoo Messenger so you can concentrate all your accounts into one client. Not even two months old, yet the feature list is impressive. It doesn't beat the true & original MSN Messenger 6 experience, but Messenger-2 comes recommended for those who chat over many different IM platforms simultaneously.
>> View a large preview
>> Visit the Messenger-2 homepage.
