Why are some features gone after I upgraded to SP2 or Windows Messenger 5?

To improve security Windows Messenger 4.7.300 (which comes with Service Pack 2 or SP2) and Windows Messenger 5 no longer support the MSN Add-in. The add-in was responsible for features like Hotmail/E-mail, MSN Profiles, MSN Mobile (paging) and MSN Headlines integration.

In order to continue using the add-in and its features you'll have to downgrade to Windows Messenger 4.7.2009 (get it at www.microsoft.com/windows/messenger/download.asp) or use MSN Messenger (get it at http://messenger.msn.com/Download).
