What are the bugs in MSN Messenger 7.5 BETA

It's only natural that during the BETA period of MSN Messenger 7.5 many a bug will be discovered and reported. Starting with MSN Messenger 7.5.0160 BETA privately released on June 20th, we are compiling a list of bugs and (spelling or cosmetic) mistakes to give you an idea of known issues, so you don't have to worry if something looks odd, doesn't work or even crashes. BETA versions and especially private ones are intended for internal testing only and are likely to lack stability of the code and information. These things happen (but not necessarily always and on every system) and are expected to be fixed in the final public release of MSN Messenger 7.5 we're expecting in September 2005:

- MSN Messenger 7.5 is only supported on Windows XP or greater.

- Signing in with an extra long email address will cause the sign-in to fail. This is fixed in a later build.

- Messenger will crash when you try to log-in with a different account after the previous account was forcibly logged out because it had signed in on another computer. This is fixed in a later build.

- If you uncheck "Remember my Password" but leave the password field populated with your password, the sign-in will fail. This is fixed in a later build.

- If you have "Sign me in automatically" checked and you click cancel while it is signing in, you may get a crash if you try to sign in with a different account in the drop-down list. Fixed in 7.5.0162 (thanks PoTaToX)

- The four squares under the "My Dynamic Backgrounds" link will be blank until you click on the link and select a dynamic background from the ones provided. This has been fixed in a later build.

- Each time you install a dynamic background from Blue Mountain the amount of memory that Messenger is using goes up 4000k. This will be fixed in a later build.

- In the My Custom Emoticons management window, the emoticons all appear a bit stretched in width.

- Bugs from MSN Messenger 7 still present: unlimited Nudges when status is set to Busy and contact booter when typing .pif in group conversations.

- Dynamic Display Pictures previously downloaded with MSN Messenger 7 will not appear in MSN Messenger 7.5. They still reside on your system though, as you'll notice when you downgrade to 7.0 again.
