The week's not over yet, but here's a new poll question already and this time I'm interested in your Mess.be habits ;)

 Emoticon Patch Uninstaller

dwergs says ( 05 Dec 2002 ):

Already bored with Dreamingweb's emoticon patches for MSN Messenger 5.0, released last week? Hard to believe, but ok... here's what you're looking for: the Emoticon Patch Uninstaller that restores the standard MSN Messenger ones.

where to get MSN Messenger 4.7?
where to get MSN Messenger 4.7?

dwergs says ( 04 Dec 2002 ):

The current most popular e-mail request I get is for the previous (4.7) version of MSN Messenger for people who don't fancy the latest v5.0. You can still download it at OldVersion.com, my personal favorite for older versions of popular software.

dwergs says ( 04 Dec 2002 ):

My apologies to the Messers who recently became a victim from the multiple pop-up mayhem :( I've disabled the campaign so the coast should be clear from now on. But please remember that managing Mess.be costs lots of money and you clicking on the ads really supports me.

 AOL blocks Messenger spam
AOL blocks Messenger spam

timothy says ( 03 Dec 2002 ):

AOL the biggest "enemy" of microsoft has patched its AOL service to block a port in Windows Messenger that allowed spammers to exploit Windows Messenger with add-messages. "It was a vulnerability and we have blocked the port used to exploit that hole," according to AOL spokesman Andrew Weinstein. Now it's up to Microsoft to close the hole itself for the ordinary people. [Source: Network Wold Fusion]

 Exit Blog Returns

dwergs says ( 02 Dec 2002 ):

In Mess.be's Exit Blog dwergs, Timothy, m_chibi, Grim & Stieno recommend non-MSN related sites for the mentally disturbed, unsuccesfully cloned or people just bored of messing with MSN Messenger. Back in full throttle after a short break.

 MSNicker

dwergs says ( 01 Dec 2002 ):

MSNicker, MSN add-on debut by Will, allows you to use forbidden words in your MSN nickname without the need of logging off and using an external add-on. Isn't that great? Thanks to EvilSeph for pointing me to it. You can download this essential stuff from our MSN Messenger add-ons collection.

MSN Polygamy & Ad Remover for 5.0.0540
MSN Polygamy & Ad Remover for 5.0.0540

dwergs says ( 01 Dec 2002 ):

Sorry for not posting this earlier, but download traffic has been t r e m e n d o u s the last couple of weeks so I had to buy additional resources first. But here it is, at last! The extremely popular Polygamy AND Ad Remover for MSN Messenger 5.0.0540. Feel free to download the polygamy patch right away!

Basically, this little patch enables the possibility to use multiple accounts at once as well as remove the little ad window at the bottom. Kudos to its creator Jermain but also to Dj Durst, LiL FoB, Dazz, BaPhOmEt & others (sorry!) for submitting similar patches. Maybe your patch will be featured on Mess.be with the next version, so keep submitting!
