Looks like you can not download Windows Messenger any more from the Microsoft site. The link is still available on the left of the screen. But if you click it, it will redirect you to the MSN Messenger 5 download page. Does this means microsoft is up to something ? Windows Messenger 5? Giving up Windows Messenger? Or just a mistake made by one of the people at Microsoft?
It appears to be the last one, since you still can download it if you scroll down the page and find the “Click here to download Windows Messenger v4.7.” link.
Update: The link to the Mac version is also killed.
