In case you haven't heard, the Windows Live Messenger Wave 4 Beta is out there, so go grab it (unless you're on XP or an older version of Windows, because MSFT ditched support for those)! It's got brand spanking new emoticons and all! Oh yeah, and tabbed chats, HD video chat, improved social networks integration, etc. Here are the direct links to the manual Windows Live Essentials installers, which allow you to select (only) Messenger: English), French), Spanish), Dutch), Portuguese Brazil ), Japanese), and Chinese Simplified. In other news, the Windows Live Messenger iPhone app is now available in the App Store. For free, of course.

Fullscreen high definition video chat (while sharing photos, playing a game, watching a YouTube video), tabbed conversations, enhanced social network integration, and apps for Windows Phone and iPhone. Microsoft has finally updated Microsoft Messenger for Mac with the much wanted audio/video feature.
