Forget about MSN Messenger 8.0! The next version of your favorite instant messenger will bear a brand new name: Windows Live Messenger. The new version won't be offically released until somewhere halfway 2006 and I bet you're expecting it to leak out a lot sooner, like with all previous betas. I can't blame you, really, the news and screenshots we post on WLM 8.0 sure are tempting. But what if I told you you might have a chance to legally download and use the Windows Live Messenger BETA without the need of any patches? What if I told you you can be involved in the development of one of the most popular pieces of software out there, that's going to be used by at least 185 million users worldwide... but by you first? You wouldn't believe me? Two words:

Time for a little more creativity! Your mission: fight boredom at family festivities and mess with your Christmas tree or Christmas crib! Send your self-made photo(s) to christmess.be. Bonus points for integrating Mess.be (eg. logo, URL...). The best five win! Sure, this is subjective, but let your imagination run wild and surprise me! Winners will be announced in the course of next week.

ROUND #1 - THE FIRST FOUR FIVE! (Finished)

We've hidden our first four invites throughout Mess.be as some sort of easter eggs (or should I say "christmas balls"?). They are disguised as the green Live Messenger buddy mascotte and have a keyword on them. So look around, click internal links, that kind of stuff. And if you find one, click it, and tell me its keyword via the form (double-check that you enter the correct e-mail address!). The person who sends me a certain keyword FIRST (my server's clock doesn't lie) will get a personal e-mail from me tomorrow. I can safely say "tomorrow" because I'm sure that by then all four keywords will have been found hundreds of times.
